Law enforcement agencies are conducting an inspection at the Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Yekaterinburg. This was reported to Izvestia on January 13 at the university.
"Law enforcement agencies are indeed conducting an inspection at the university today. We do not have any other data," the UrFU said.
Earlier that day, the media reported on searches in UrFU and at the "top managers of the university." According to information services, the employees are suspected of fraud with federal real estate in UrFU, adds "Газета.Ru ".
On January 12, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region announced that the rector of a private university in St. Petersburg and two of his alleged accomplices would stand trial for legalizing 501 migrants. It was noted that all issued fictitious study visas were canceled, and foreigners were included in the register of controlled persons.
