The amount of the minimum old-age insurance pension in the coming year may, according to estimates, amount to 14,287 rubles. This was announced on Tuesday, January 13, by Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of Russia.

"The minimum amount of an old-age insurance pension is not set in a special way, but it can be calculated based, firstly, on the pension formula currently in force, and secondly, on the cost of one individual pension coefficient and the amount of a fixed payment. Based on these nuances, we get that the minimum amount of an old—age insurance pension in 2026 will be 14 287.49 rubles," he said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».

This result was obtained, as the expert explained, by multiplying the cost of one individual pension coefficient, which is 156.76 rubles, by the minimum number of individual pension coefficients (IPC) required for the appointment of an old—age insurance pension - 30, as well as adding to the result the amount of a fixed payment, which is 9584.69 rubles.

Balynin stressed that thus the amount of the minimum old-age pension in 2026 is 3.28 times higher than it was fixed in the same period, but in 2015.

Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation Ivan Solovyov said on the same day that mistakes made by the employer in the workbooks (TK) may affect the amount of the pension — inaccuracies may lead to its reduction. The expert called on Russians to check their documents for incorrect spelling of the organization's name, incorrect dates of dismissal or employment, and inaccuracies in the order number.
