Foreigners will be able to declare their desire to move to the Russian Federation through Gosuslugi starting in 2027.

Foreign citizens will have the opportunity to submit a statement about themselves as being of interest to Russia through the Gosuslugi portal in the summer of 2027. This was reported by TASS on January 13.

It is specified that the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) have been instructed to provide a mechanism allowing foreign citizens of importance to Russia to apply for recognition as such through the federal state information system "Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services (Functions)".

According to the plan, no later than July 2027, the technical possibility of submitting such requests through the Gosuslugi portal should be provided. The Government of the Russian Federation is awaiting reports from relevant departments on the progress of the implementation of this instruction.
