The military personnel of the Vostok group told the details of the liberation of Gulyai-Pole

Military personnel of the 57th separate Guards Motorized Rifle brigade of the Vostok group of forces shared the details of the liberation of the Gulyai-Pole settlement in the Zaporizhia region. The corresponding video was published on January 13 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is specified that the offensive was conducted from the east.

"The task was to enter Gulyai—Pole from the east, occupy the sectors and ensure the entry of the main forces. We went into the fog using bad weather conditions. Small assault groups entered between the enemy positions — at first there was no resistance, they did not even immediately realize that we were already inside. When most of the company was pulled in, they started mopping up," said the company commander with the call sign Shurup.

Subsequently, Russian military personnel gained a foothold in the key streets of the settlement, providing conditions for the entry and development of the main forces.

"Our task was to gain a foothold on Ukrainskaya Street. We have gained a foothold. <...> We need to inspect the building. They bury people in every house. You have to spend about an hour in the cellars before going into the house to clean it. <...> Houses, food boxes, canned food, and cereals are equipped in the [Armed Forces of Ukraine — AFU] stores. There is water in large quantities," a stormtrooper with the call sign Gera shared his observations.

There are many subtleties in the work of the Russian military to clean up facilities.

"The sweep must be complete — floors, corners, basements: because our own people are coming after us. If someone stayed, it means you didn't do your job well," the stormtrooper with the call sign Mansur explained.

The settlement is currently under the control of the Russian Army (RF Armed Forces). The Russian fighters have established a stable defense.

The day before, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the village of Novoboikovskoye, Zaporizhia region. During the offensive, Russian troops also defeated the formations of the Ukrainian army in the Kirovo, Orekhov and Yurkovka areas of the Zaporizhia region, as well as Sadovoye in the Kherson region. According to the ministry, the losses of the Ukrainian militants amounted to up to 50 personnel, six vehicles and one artillery piece.
