A criminal case on the rehabilitation of Nazism and the dissemination of fakes about the Russian Armed Forces against historian Tamara Eidelman (listed by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the register of foreign agents) has been submitted to the Moscow City Court for consideration. This was reported in court on December 12.

"The case against Eidelman has been submitted to the court, it has been registered in accordance with the established procedure. The issue of handing it over to the judge is being resolved," TASS quoted the court as saying.

It is clarified that the historian was charged in absentia on two counts: Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code ("Rehabilitation of Nazism") and paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code ("Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation"). The date of the meeting is not yet known.

A criminal case on the rehabilitation of Nazism against Eidelman was opened on January 4. Then she was accused of committing a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism using the Internet").

At the end of June 2024, the Moscow prosecutor's office opened a case against Eidelman under Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Rehabilitation of Nazism committed by a group of persons, by prior agreement or using a network"). On October 31, a court in Moscow arrested Eidelman in absentia for rehabilitating Nazism and spreading fakes about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces.

On December 29, the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's office reported that an indictment had been approved in the criminal case against the historian.
