The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has asked Turkey to send F-16 fighter jets to air patrol Estonia. This was reported on January 12 by Bloomberg, citing sources.

According to the agency, NATO intends to use fighter jets in the Baltic Air Policing mission and to rotate in Estonia in the period from August to December 2026.

At the same time, Turkey has not yet made a decision on sending fighter jets.
