Earlier in the day, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said at a meeting with ambassadors of other countries that the Iranian authorities had taken control of the situation with mass protests in the country. According to him, the demonstrations were "instigated and incited" by foreign elements and the security forces will "hunt down" the perpetrators. Against the background of what is happening, the ambassadors of Germany, Great Britain and France were summoned to the department. Iran demanded to withdraw the official statements of the states that responded in support of the rioters.
It was also noted that the death toll from the protests in Iran rose to 538, including 490 protesters and 48 security personnel. It is noted that more than 10.6 thousand people were arrested during the protests. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on Iranians to express disagreement with opponents of government policy. He noted that instigators can destroy the entire society.
