In the village of Zastep, Chita city district (Zabaykalsky Krai), a man died in a fire in a greenhouse. This is reported by the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The fire occurred on Sunday evening, January 11, in a greenhouse, a temporary heated room installed for workers in winter. By the time rescuers arrived, smoke was coming from the building.
A member of the gas and smoke protection service found a 68-year-old man unconscious inside. The victim was handed over to the doctors, but it was not possible to save him. The man died, writes ChitaMedia news agency.
The fire area was 5 square meters. m.: household items and the ceiling were damaged by fire. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was carelessness when smoking. 12 people and three pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
