Kursk and Belgorod deputies were suspected of seizing coastal strips.

On January 12, Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein promised to deal with the self-seizure of coastal territories at the Starooskolky reservoir, including by local deputies.

"We talked a lot about self-seizing the coastline, access to water in Kursk, in nearby areas, on Tuskara, on the Sejm. But the same situation is taking place at the Starooskolsky reservoir," he said at a meeting of the regional government.
