23 Russians hospitalized in Phuket after boat crash
As a result of the collision of a tourist boat with a fishing vessel in the Thai province of Phuket, 23 Russian citizens were hospitalized. This was announced on January 11 by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Phuket, Egor Ivanov.
Earlier in the day, the Phuket administration announced the details of the rescue operation after a tourist boat collided with a fishing vessel and said that all the victims had been evacuated from the scene. It is added that some of the victims were taken by the Zhemchuzhina vessel to the Chalong pier. The Governor of Phuket, the tourist police, emergency services, the coast guard and volunteers worked at the site.
Prior to that, it was confirmed that a Russian citizen was killed in the incident, and another 21 people were injured. Information on other victims is being clarified.
