The Ministry of Tourism of Primorsky Krai predicts an increase in the number of tourists by 5% compared to 2024. This was announced on January 11 by Natalia Naboichenko, Minister of Regional Tourism.

"According to the results of the outgoing year, an increase in tourist traffic of at least 5% is projected compared to last year's figure of 3.9 million people. By 2030, the region plans to receive 5.5 million guests," the minister told TASS.

She added that tourism stimulates the development of related industries — creative industries, logistics, restaurant business and hotels.

"Thanks to this, the boundaries of seasonality are being erased, infrastructure is being modernized, and exports of services are growing, from gastronomy to ecotours," Naboychenko said.

Earlier, on December 1, 2025, it was reported that the introduction of a visa–free regime for Chinese citizens could increase the tourist flow to Russia by 1.5-2 times. Experts noted that the megacities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as the border regions, including Primorsky Krai, remain popular destinations for Chinese tourists.
