Deputy Prime Minister of the DPR Yezhikov named the number of deposits of rare earth metals

There are five deposits and 15 manifestations of rare earth metals in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) that can be used in industry. This was announced on January 11 by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic Vladimir Yezhikov.

"We have, indeed, on the territory of the DPR, according to estimates, probably five deposits from Soviet exploration and about 15 occurrences — this is what was previously explored for rare earth metals," the TASS news agency quoted.

It is noted that, due to the need for large investments in the extraction of rare earth metals, it is planned to assess the prospects for industrial production during exploration this year.

Their total cost may exceed 1 trillion rubles — pilot projects are planned to be launched in four regions.

Earlier, on December 26 last year, it was reported that pilot projects for the extraction of precious metals from industrial waste would be launched in Russia. We are talking about the reclamation of previously disturbed deposits and the processing of man-made formations with the extraction of useful and valuable components from them, including rare and rare-earth metals.
