The Foreign Legion, created to attract mercenaries to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was disbanded on December 31, 2025, and its personnel were transferred to other Ukrainian military structures. This is reported by MilitaryLand.

"Four units of the foreign legion were reorganized into other military structures of Ukraine, which caused discontent due to random redistribution," the publication says.
