The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the destruction of the ZSU "Gepard" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region

On January 11, the Russian Ministry of Defense published footage of objective monitoring of the destruction of the Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled gun of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation in the Kharkiv region.

The ministry clarified that the German-made enemy ZSU was discovered by the calculation of the reconnaissance drone "Hall" of the unmanned systems troops as part of the 11th Army Corps of the North group of forces. After transmitting the coordinates to the command post, the target was hit by a Lancet barrage of ammunition.

"Thanks to the Lancet thermal imaging camera, capturing the target was not difficult. The operator of the barrage ammunition accurately hit the APU militants' missile defense system, which led to its elimination," the Defense Ministry said.

Objective real-time monitoring recorded a direct hit and destruction of the installation. The ministry noted that the elimination of enemy air defense systems makes it possible to more effectively use reconnaissance and attack drones deep in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
