Kolunov spoke about the postponement of the payment period for housing and communal services from the 10th to the 15th

From March 1, the deadline for payment for housing and communal services in Russia will be postponed from the 10th to the 15th of the month. This was announced on January 11 by Sergey Kolunov, Deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

"Very soon, on March 1, a law will come into force that shifts the deadline for payment for housing and communal services by five days in advance. Accordingly, Russians will be able to pay for housing and communal services until the 15th of each month," Kolunov told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the changes are aimed at supporting residents, as many receive their salaries after the 10th.

"We know that not all salaries arrive before the 10th. Quite a few Russians receive salaries on the 12th and 15th. Of course, it will be more convenient for them to pay for "communal services" after receiving the money. And here we are talking not only about convenience — the law will avoid delays and penalties," the parliamentarian added.

Earlier, on January 7, it was reported that pensioners in Russia can receive a subsidy if housing and communal services costs exceed 22% of family income.
