Pop singer Yeison Jimenez and his musical group were killed in a plane crash on a private jet in Colombia. This was reported on January 11 by El Tiempo.

The plane was en route from Pipa to Medellin, where the musicians had a concert on the evening of January 10. The crash occurred shortly after takeoff in the rural area of La Vereda Romita. There were six people on board, including two pilots. No one survived.

The musicians hired a private jet for the convenience of travel, but tragically did not reach their destination.
