Starting from January 1, 2026, one pension point will cost 65,600 rubles. This was announced on January 11 by Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws.
"Since January 1, 2026, the purchase price of one pension point has increased to 65,600 rubles," Masharov told TASS.
He added that in order to receive an old-age insurance pension, you must have at least 30 retirement points and at least 15 years of experience.
"For citizens other than the self-employed, there is a restriction: no more than half the length of service (7.5 years) It can be acquired by purchasing points. In 2026, a maximum of 8.7 pension points can be purchased," the expert said.
An insurance pension is awarded for old age, disability and loss of a breadwinner. Its amount consists of a fixed payment and accumulated pension points, which depend on the length of service and salary of the citizen.
Earlier, on January 4, it was reported that the pension amount in Russia is formed from work experience, the number of pension points, district coefficients and the right to additional payments. Starting from January 1, 2026, the cost of one pension coefficient is 156.76 rubles, with a fixed payment of 9584.69 rubles. To calculate an insurance pension, it is necessary to multiply the accumulated points by their cost and add a fixed part.
