Forecasters predicted snow and ice in Moscow on January 11

Cloudy with clarifications, light snow in places, icy conditions — such weather awaits residents of the capital region on Sunday, January 11. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow will range from -6 to -4 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -7.

In the Moscow region, it will be from -8 to -3 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to -10 degrees.

An easterly wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s is expected.

The atmospheric pressure will be 741 mmHg.

Earlier, on January 10, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that the snowfall in Moscow on January 9 broke a half-century record, becoming the most intense in the last 56 years. According to the forecaster, 22 mm of precipitation fell into the precipitation meter at the VDNKh weather station during the day, which was 42% of the monthly norm.
