The UN Security Council plans to hold a meeting on Ukraine on January 12
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has scheduled an emergency meeting on Ukraine for next Monday, January 12. This is evidenced by the schedule of the authority on January 10.
According to his information, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti, the event was initiated by Kiev. The relevant request was issued and sent for consideration by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Andriy Melnyk.
The meeting, which was supported by representatives of Latvia, Liberia, Denmark, France, Greece and the United Kingdom, is expected to take place at 15:00 local time (23:00 Moscow time).
One of the last meetings of the UN Security Council on Ukraine was scheduled to take place on December 9, 2025 at 10:00 (18:00) Moscow time. As reported by the press service of the Permanent Mission of Slovenia to the United Nations on December 8, 2025, the situation in Ukraine was to be discussed there. At that time, Denmark, France, Greece, the Republic of Korea, and the United Kingdom requested the meeting.
