The State Duma announced an increase in the disability pension in 2026

State disability pensions and social pensions will be indexed from April 1, taking into account the increase in the living wage for pensioners. This was announced on January 10 by Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Starting from April 1, for all of these categories, the pension amount increases by the growth index of the minimum subsistence level of pensioners in the country," the TASS news agency quoted.

It is noted that the index of growth of the subsistence minimum for disability pensioners in 2026 amounted to 6.8%.

This measure will be applied to the disabled of the Great Patriotic War, blockade survivors, certain categories of disabled military personnel who suffered in Chernobyl, as well as disabled children who are eligible for a social disability pension.
