The Federal Tax Service (FTS) monitors transfers to cards in search of unpaid taxes. Yuri Mirzoev, Director General of the Mitra National Law Company, warned about this on January 10.

He noted that the very fact of receiving money on the card is not a violation, but some transfers raise questions from the tax authorities.

"If you have provided a service (design, programming, consulting, tutoring, repairs) or sold goods, leased property and received payment on a card, this is your income," Mirzoev explained to the Prime agency.

He added that regular receipts from legal entities or sole proprietors may indicate hidden labor relations or entrepreneurial activity.

The lawyer warned about fines for non—payment of taxes - from 20% to 40% of the unpaid amount, as well as up to 30% for late submission of the declaration.

"If you receive money for work, services or the sale of goods, rental of real estate, then legalize the income. For one-time or small income, use the professional income tax (NAP, "tax for the self-employed"). The rate is 4% or 6%, all calculations are transparent through the app, and you avoid problems with the Federal Tax Service," he advised.

Earlier, on December 15, Anton Palyulin, a lecturer at Synergy University, warned about the risks of self-repayment of unknown transfers. This may be regarded as complicity in fraud or money laundering. According to him, it is safer to immediately inform the bank about the transfer and not perform operations until the origin of the money is clarified.
