To search for the missing Usoltsev family in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the LizaAlert regional search team uses a neural network along with more traditional methods, such as the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on January 10 by the representative of the detachment, Serafima Chodu.

"We hope to find traces of the family or their bodies. In spring, when the snow falls, visibility improves, particularly for quadrocopters. Along with the traditional work of search engines to view photos and videos from UAVs, the squad actively uses a neural network that helps to recognize a lost person in various natural conditions," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

At the same time, Choodu noted that the search will not be an easy task due to the large area of the territory that needs to be examined.

On September 28, 2025, the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported the disappearance of the Usoltsev family, consisting of a man and a woman born in 1961 and 1977, as well as their five-year-old child, who went on a camping trip. In their search, which found only the family car, over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of forest were explored.

On October 2, Izvestia spoke with Irina Usoltseva's friend Oksana Zhdanyuk, who clarified that the Usoltsevs had not shared details of their route. On December 18, the volunteers told us when they plan to resume the search for the Usoltsevs. According to Choju, the squad is "at a low start," and the search will resume under suitable weather conditions. They decided to conduct the operation, including in a point format.

Also on January 5, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation reported that the version about the possible escape abroad of the Usoltsev family was not confirmed by any of the interviewed witnesses.
