Captain Evgeny Kulikov carried out the task of searching for and destroying enemy fortifications and military equipment, during which all detected targets were hit. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Saturday, January 10.

It is noted that the military conducted reconnaissance of the area using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). During the operation, a team led by Kulikov was able to detect an accumulation of enemy military equipment, as well as an enemy ammunition depot.

Having got his bearings in the situation, the group leader calculated the distance to the targets and gave the order to send attack drones towards the enemy. As a result of competent leadership, the fighters managed to hit three pieces of cargo equipment, as well as an ammunition depot and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). After that, the reconnaissance activities continued, and the crew discovered and destroyed the enemy drone control center.

As a result, the enemy's defensive potential in this area was significantly weakened, which helped the Russian assault units to continue moving forward.

The Defense Ministry also said that Senior Sergeant Oleg Petrenko, in one of the tactical areas, took part in the destruction of long-term fortifications, weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Because of the high risk, he sent most of the crew to cover, while he and one subordinate remained at the cannon and began to strike back under enemy fire. As a result, the task was completed without loss of personnel.

A day earlier, units of the Zapad group of forces continued fighting in the Kharkiv region, using attack drones to destroy equipment, shelters and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The UAV crew of the 27th Guards Separate Sevastopol Motorized Rifle Brigade used Ghoul drones with high-explosive fragmentation charges to attack an underground temporary deployment point. All targets, according to objective control, were destroyed. Drones are equipped with different ammunition depending on the task and are sent to new targets immediately after being equipped.
