The State Duma offered to give additional days off for work on New Year's Eve
The head of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Yana Lantratova, proposed providing three additional days of leave to employees who worked on the night of December 31 to January 1. This became known on January 10.
"I ask you, dear Anton Olegovich, to consider a proposal to provide three additional days of paid leave to employees who performed labor functions on the night of December 31 to January 1," Lantratova said in an appeal to Labor Minister Anton Kotyakov, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.
According to the MP, a significant part of the employees involved in healthcare, emergency services and public safety are forced to work during the holidays, sacrificing the opportunity to celebrate the New Year with their families.
