Roscosmos satellites captured the passage of Cyclone Frances over Moscow, which brought snow and a blizzard to the capital region. This was reported on January 9 in the Telegram channel "Roscosmos".

"Roscosmos satellites recorded the passage of a cyclone over Moscow on January 8 and 9," the report says. The state corporation clarified that the survey was conducted by hydrometeorological devices Electro-L and Arktika-M.

Due to the cyclone's influence, up to 65% of the monthly precipitation fell in the south of the Moscow Region, which led to a deterioration in weather conditions and increased snowstorms in the region.
