Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. During the week, the Russian army decisively liberated the village of Grabovskoye in the Sumy region. As a result of the actions of the Russian Armed Forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1.2 thousand militants, 12 tanks and armored combat vehicles, 82 vehicles and seven field artillery guns, six electronic warfare and counter-battery warfare stations, 18 ammunition depots, fuel and materiel. In addition, Russian troops liberated the settlements of Podoli in the Kharkiv region and Bondarnoye in the DPR.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. During the week, the settlements of Zelenoe, Zaporizhia region, and Bratskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region, were liberated. Formations of three mechanized, amphibious assault, two assault brigades, four assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade and two air defense brigades were defeated. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces amounted to more than 1,680 military personnel," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army destroyed three multiple rocket launcher combat vehicles and four anti-aircraft missile systems with the help of aviation, attack drones, missiles and artillery. In turn, air defense systems shot down 21 guided aerial bombs, 14 US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, five Neptune long-range guided missiles and 1,327 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 108,206 UAVs, 645 anti-aircraft missile systems, 27,020 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,637 multiple rocket launchers, 32,463 field artillery guns and mortars, 51,287 special vehicles.
