Russia reported an increase in U.S. purchases of Russian sweets

The United States has increased imports of Russian sweets to record levels since 2021. This became known on January 9, according to the American statistical services.

According to American data, for 10 months, companies from the United States bought caramel, chocolate and pastries from the Russian Federation for a total of $ 5 million. this is 13% more in annual terms and twice as much as in 2023, the RIA Novosti news agency cited data.

It is noted that Russian pastries are in the greatest demand — their imports increased by 23%. In addition, the supply of caramel increased 1.6 times.
