Frequent headaches, tinnitus, dizziness and blurred vision may indicate narrowing of the vessels of the cervical region. In these cases, it is necessary to do an ultrasound of the vessels of the neck and consult a neurologist, Gazeta reported on January 8.Ru" leading neurologist "SM-Clinic" Kirill Almazov.

"Patients like to blame fatigue, stress or lack of sleep, but in fact all these manifestations are often associated with vascular disorders. In addition, problems with concentration should be alerted," the doctor noted.

According to Almazov, further treatment depends on the cause of the disorder: in case of atherosclerotic plaques, the patient is referred to a cardiologist, and in case of narrowing due to muscle spasms, to a neurologist with the appointment of drugs, massage and therapeutic gymnastics.

"With a narrowing of the vessel lumen by more than 70% and a high risk of plaque blockage, the issue of surgical intervention is already being resolved," the specialist added.

Earlier, on January 9, it was reported that starting in 2026, Russians will undergo medical examinations under the new rules, including screenings for viral hepatitis and HPV. It was noted that for people with limited mobility, the opportunity to undergo an examination at home is organized.
