North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin in which he promised to unconditionally support the Russian leader's policy and be for Russia. This was reported on January 9 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
"I will unconditionally respect and unconditionally support all your policies and decisions, and I am ready to always be on your side and on the side of your Russia. This choice is unchangeable and will last forever," the Korean leader said.
Kim Jong-un also promised to continue joint cooperation in the strategic interests of the two countries.
"I sincerely wish you good health and great success in all your important endeavors. I extend my warmest wishes to the fraternal Russian people, wishing them only success and victories," he concluded.
Earlier, on December 27, Kim Jong-un sent a congratulatory letter to President Putin on the occasion of the upcoming new year. He noted the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the states and called this alliance sincere and indestructible. Kim Jong-un added that "now no one can break the bond" between the Russian and Korean people.
Earlier, on December 24, Putin, in a New Year's message addressed to Kim Jong-un, emphasized the heroism of Korean soldiers in liberating the Kursk region and the strength of friendship between the Russian Federation and the DPRK. The congratulatory message also notes the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
Also on December 17, Putin noted the valiant actions of the DPRK military personnel in the Kursk region and stressed that by decision of the Chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, they were sent to participate in the liberation of the region.
