Latvian basketball player Ulyana Semenova died at the age of 74.

Ulyana Semenova, an outstanding Latvian and international basketball player, died at the age of 74. This was announced on January 8 by the Latvian Basketball Association (LBS) on its official website.

"On the 74th year of her life, the legendary basketball player Ulyana Semenova fell asleep and did not wake up," the message says.

LBS expressed its condolences to the basketball player's family and friends.

Ulyana Semenova is a two-time Olympic champion, three-time world champion and ten-time European champion, eleven-time winner of the European Champions Cup, FIBA, the World Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
