Russian basketball player Daniil Kasatkin, who was suspected of cybercrime, was released from a French prison on the night of Thursday, January 8. He has already arrived in Moscow. This was announced on January 8 by the athlete's lawyer Frederic Belo.
"Thanks to the hard work of lawyers, Daniil Kasatkin was released from prison and released last night, he was put on a plane, and he has already landed in Moscow," he said in a conversation with RIA Novosti.
Belo added that French Prime Minister Sebastian Lecorny had not signed the decision on Kasatkin's extradition to the United States, which had previously been taken by a French court.
