Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk realized the dream of 13-year-old Gleb, whose card he took from a New Year's tree as part of the All-Russian charity event "Wishing Tree".

The boy wanted to know how news is produced and asked for an e-book. Overchuk personally met with Gleb at the St. Petersburg edition of Channel Five and wished the boy a Happy New Year.

"I pulled out a balloon on the Wish Tree. This is your balloon. <...> I know you wanted an e-book, there are candies there, as it should be. You dream of watching how the news is made, I know that you like to watch the news, you like to watch the weather forecast, cartoons," TASS quoted Overchuk as saying.

The student also presented a small gift to the Deputy Prime Minister, and then went on a tour of the studio with him, where he was able to try himself as a presenter, record a story about New Year's St. Petersburg and congratulate the audience on the holidays.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova also fulfilled the dreams of three children who sent their cards to participate in the "Wish Tree" — seven-year-old Alina Gavrilova from Leninogorsk in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as 13-year-old Ivan Smirnov and his four-year-old brother Lev from Krasnoyarsk received gifts.
