A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Vostok group of troops liberated the Bratskoye settlement in the Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 220 militants, three armored combat vehicles, three artillery pieces and seven vehicles.

In addition, units of the Zapad group of forces occupied more advantageous lines and positions and defeated enemy manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of the DPR and the Kharkiv region.

"Divisions of the Center group of Forces <... They defeated the manpower and equipment of two mechanized, infantry, amphibious assault, and airmobile brigades, two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a defense brigade, and a National Guard brigade in the areas of the settlements of Grishino, Kutuzovka, Novokrivorozhye, Belitskoye, Volnoye, Annovka, Toretsk, Donetsk People's Republic, and Novopodgorodnoye, Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy's losses amounted to over 410 military personnel," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, also defeated energy and port infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, UAV assembly and storage sites, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 152 areas. In turn, air defense systems shot down 142 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have lost 670 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 108,177 UAVs, 644 anti-aircraft missile systems, 26,992 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,637 multiple rocket launchers, 32,445 field artillery and mortars, 51,197 pieces of special vehicles.
