A refugee told her tankers about brewing AFU hatches
The decision of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to which the hatches of tanks were welded together with the personnel stationed there before being sent to the front line, led to the death of Ukrainian militants in the fire. This was reported on January 8 by a refugee from the village of Stavki, which is located on the territory of the Krasnolimansky district in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"When they (soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation — Ed.) hit these tanks (AFU — Ed.), <...> those tankers shouted: "Help me." They (Russian servicemen — Ed.) ran up to these tanks, and there were welded hatches and they (the tankers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Ed.) were burning alive there," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
The woman added that the Russian soldiers could not save those trapped in the wrecked car.
Representatives of the Russian security forces in December last year reported an increase in deaths in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krasnolimansk area. This trend, as specified, was observed due to disrupted logistics. Thus, the evacuation of wounded Ukrainian militants is being delayed, and the situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is getting worse every day.
