Emergency workers rescued 42 people, including four children, during a fire in Vladivostok in the Primorsky Territory. This was announced on January 8 by the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"According to operational data, at the time of the arrival of firefighters, the balcony on the fourth floor was engulfed in flames, heavy smoke was observed in the entrance from the fourth to the ninth floor. The gas and smoke protection service units used rescue devices to remove 42 people, including four children, from apartments cut off by smoke," a message on the MAX messenger said.
It is noted that, despite the rescue, one person was injured.
According to preliminary data, the total fire area was about 60 square meters. m.
The cause of the fire and the damage are being determined.
Earlier, on January 5, in the village of Tygla, Amur region, four people died in a house fire. It is specified that the house was not equipped with autonomous smoke detectors.
