Doctor Bolotova recalled the teacher's right to request a certificate after the child's illness.

Teachers have the right to request a medical certificate from children after an illness in order to ensure their safety for returning to the team. This was announced on January 8 by Elena Bolotova, Professor of the Department of Law at the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Education of Moscow Pedagogical State University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences.

She stressed that only doctors give permission to a child to attend school after an illness, and the certificate may indicate restrictions, for example, on sports.

"When a child gets sick, a notification from the parents is enough. And when he recovers, there should be a certificate, because not every child can return to the team with every diagnosis," the expert told TASS.

According to the decree of the Chief State sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation, a certificate of illness is mandatory for admission of children to classes in schools, especially in an epidemic.
