The OP proposed to raise the minimum amount of child care allowance to 1.5 years

The minimum amount of child care allowance for up to 1.5 years should be increased so that it is not lower than the subsistence minimum. This was announced on January 8 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of Russia (CC RF) on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.

"There is a certain minimum amount of allowance for a woman who is on parental leave. <...> As experts, we note the insufficiency of this support. From my point of view, it should not be lower than the subsistence level," the TASS news agency quoted him as saying.

Today, according to Rybalchenko, steps are being taken in Russia to support mothers. So, he recalled the payments of more than 90 thousand rubles for young mothers who are full-time students of higher and secondary vocational educational institutions.

He also recalled that today parents are not deprived of child care benefits for up to 1.5 years in case of early retirement from maternity leave.
