The British government will put to a vote in parliament the issue of sending troops to Ukraine after the ceasefire. This was announced on January 7 by the country's Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"If troops have to be deployed in accordance with the signed declaration, I will submit this issue to a vote in the House," Starmer said.

He also said that the details of the plan of intentions regarding the deployment of foreign troops in Ukraine will be set out in an official statement, and the House of Commons will be informed as the situation develops.

On January 6, the "coalition of willing" countries signed a declaration on the deployment of the military in Ukraine. Macron clarified that the document sets out in detail all the components of security guarantees, and the participants agreed to create a single coordination center.

The next day, the Politico newspaper reported on the refusal of the United States to sign declarations on security for Ukraine. Pavel Danilin, a political scientist and director of the Center for Political Analysis, also told Izvestia that European countries would not send their troops into Ukraine without Russia's consent. He recalled that the special military operation began precisely in order to prevent the appearance of NATO troops at the Russian borders, and Moscow is completely unhappy with the peace proposal provided they are present in Ukraine.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
