Patriarch Kirill pointed to Russia's rejection of Western values
Russia does not accept Western values that are aimed at destroying morality. This was announced on January 7 by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
"We do not accept what is accepted in the West today under the slogan of "human rights," but what is truly aimed at destroying human morality," TASS quoted the Patriarch as saying.
Kirill emphasized that morality is "God's law, embedded in human nature." He also added that Russia is a defender of traditional human values that are at odds with Western ones.
On December 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants of the International Catherine Forum and stated that Russia would continue to support compatriots and foreigners committed to traditional values. According to the Russian leader, for residents and citizens of other countries who share traditional spiritual and moral values, the state will improve relevant legislation.
