An earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred off the coast of the Philippines. This was announced on January 7 on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 75 km southeast of the city of Mati, which has a population of about 105 thousand people, and also 32 km from the municipality of Manai, where about 20.3 thousand people live.
