Cloudy, light snow, moderate in places, and icy conditions await residents of the capital region on Wednesday, January 7. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow will range from -6 to -4 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to -8.

In the Moscow region, it will be from -8 to -3 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to -9 degrees.

An easterly wind with a speed of 5-10 m/s is expected.

Atmospheric pressure will be 746-747 mmHg.

In the European part of the country, the temperature will be below normal, and in Siberia — from an abnormal -49 to a thaw.

Earlier, on January 6, Evgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that a "snow Armageddon" was expected in the Moscow region on January 9, with up to 30% of the monthly precipitation rate possible. After that, snowdrifts up to half a meter high may form in Moscow, which has never happened this season.
