Foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are rebelling due to transfer to assault units. This was reported on January 6 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"If previously most of them were in the rear and received decent pay, now they will have to perform tasks involving a real risk to their lives, which is why riots are taking place in certain units," TASS quoted the text of the message.

It is clarified that the decree on the transfer of all legionary formations to the assault forces has reduced the attractiveness of the contract, and the number of incoming mercenaries has decreased. In addition, foreigners faced the impossibility of unilaterally terminating the contract. According to him, the countries from which the mercenaries came prefer to "ignore" the problem, so contacting diplomatic missions is not an option for them.
