On January 6, the head of the Belgian Ministry of Defense, Theo Francken, reported on the progress of the voluntary conscription campaign for one-year military service. At the moment, 1,702 people have registered, 20% of whom are women.

"621 French speakers (F) and 1081 Dutch speakers (N), total: 1702 people, 20% of those registered are women," Franken wrote on the X network (ex. Twitter).
