Kiev's allies insist on Russia's participation in the discussion of Ukraine's security guarantees after reaching an agreement with the United States on this issue. This was reported on January 5 by Bloomberg, citing a source.

"Ukraine's allies will insist on Russia's participation after reaching an agreement with the United States on security issues," Bloomberg reports.

According to the agency, European officials claim that their recent talks with their American counterparts were positive. They noted that the proposed security guarantees are already "in good condition."

Bloomberg reported yesterday that the United States and the European Union want to agree on plans for security guarantees for Ukraine at a meeting in Paris on January 6. The meeting will take place after a series of meetings between national security advisers that took place in December.

The summit will be attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, other European leaders, as well as NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and NATO military representative Alexus Grinkevich, who also commands American troops in Europe.
