Sobyanin spoke about the help of Moscow cultural institutions to the fighters of the SVO and residents of new regions

Moscow cultural institutions regularly provide support to both their participants and residents of new Russian territories, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his messenger channel.

Over the past year, the Mosconcert cultural brigade has held more than 320 cultural events for soldiers on the front line and in military units, as well as in new territories for their residents. The Great Moscow Circus held 23 performances in Donetsk in the spring of 2025, 44 thousand local residents attended the performances. In addition, the circus performers brought with them humanitarian aid for the children's social center in Horlivka, the Donetsk circus Cosmos and the local animal shelter. Artists from the capital's theaters also performed in the new territories: they performed 57 performances and concerts in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Kherson, Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, and the Crimea. And the artists of the Moscow theater Et Cetera, led by Alexander Kalyagin, perform for wounded soldiers every month in hospitals and hospitals in different cities of Russia.

The capital's cultural institutions are also involved in collecting humanitarian aid for the participants of the SVR and residents of new regions. Thus, the Moscow Concert has already delivered more than 100 tons of humanitarian supplies to the zone, and the Moscow Symphony Orchestra "Russian Philharmonic" — 327 tons. In addition, during his career, the symphony orchestra held 100 concerts for soldiers, veterans and their families. On the eve of the New Year holidays, employees of the Gorbunov Recreation Center collected toys, books and stationery for children from new territories.

Assistance is also provided to the families of ITS participants. So, during the holidays, the children of the fighters received invitations to the traditional metropolitan Christmas tree in Gostiny Dvor.
