Sam O'Reilly (double), Braden Cootes, Zane Parekh, Porter Marton and Gavin McKenna scored for the Canadians. Arttu Vyalila, Julius Miettinen and Heikki Ruohonen scored for the Finnish national team.

In the semifinals, Canada lost to the Czech Republic (4:6), and Finland lost to Sweden in shootouts (3:4). The final match between the national teams of Sweden and the Czech Republic will take place on January 6 at 04:30 Moscow time.
