Men are advised to undergo regular reproductive checkups due to the prevalence of factors that negatively affect fertility. This was announced on January 6 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Tatyana Butskaya.

According to her, men's reproductive health is influenced by lifestyle, including habits related to nutrition and everyday life.

"Over the years, the number of problems [with reproductive health] accumulates, and this may be due not only to the fact that seats are heated in winter, or they really like to go to the sauna, although these are some of the risk factors, but also, for example, with the consumption of fried food," the deputy told TASS.

Butskaya also stressed that the problem of infertility is often associated with the state of men's health.

"Almost every second married couple who fails to get pregnant has a male factor in this problem," she added.
