The Civic Chamber recalled the changes in fines for tinting since January

Starting from January 9, motorists will be fined in Russia for improper tinting on any cars. Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws and other regulations, told about this on January 6.

"The Federal Law On Amendments to Article 12.5 of the Administrative Code will enter into force on January 9, 2026. This Federal Law primarily eliminates a gap in the law, which was previously used by those [car owners] who temporarily imported vehicles into the territory of the Russian Federation," TASS quoted him as saying.
