Akhmat Kadyrov, the eldest son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has been appointed Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic (CR). This was announced on January 5 by the head of the republic Ramzan Kadyrov in his Telegram channel.

He clarified that the appointment was made on the recommendation of the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic Magomed Daudov.

"Thus, on the recommendation of dear brother, Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic Magomed Daudov, Akhmat Kadyrov has been appointed to the post of Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of the Chechen Republic," Ramzan Kadyrov wrote.

The Head of the Republic also announced the appointment of Akhmed Dudayev as Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic — Minister for National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information.

"I am sure that Akhmat Kadyrov and Akhmed Dudayev will perfectly cope with the assigned tasks," he stressed.
