Venezuelan Foreign Minister Gil announced the country's victory at a meeting of the UN Security Council

Venezuela won a victory at a meeting of the UN Security Council, as the international community recognized the US attack as violating international law. This was announced on January 5 by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Ivan Gil in his Telegram channel.

The head of the Foreign Ministry stressed that the position of Caracas was supported on the international platform.

"Once again, the truth has prevailed in the Security Council. Venezuela has won a clear and legitimate victory," Gil said.

According to him, the actions of the United States were regarded as aggression.

"The international community has recognized that the attack on January 3 was an act contrary to international law, violating the UN Charter, humanitarian and human rights, as well as direct aggression against the inviolability of the current head of state," the minister said.

He added that Venezuela will continue to defend its sovereignty.
